Bio

Performer and Lyricist, home based in the north coast of Portugal, this artist/producer colabarates with several projects and works on a solo tip.
He´s the one whom used to carrie the ghetto blaster in the early 80´s during the golden age of break dancin´days. Used to rhyme over the boogies in B.Boy Battles.

JOHNNY DEF it´s an open minded being, ready to create a better world with sound waves and shapes. In order to maintain an equilibrium with human nature & technology, he drop´s some beats together with simple melodies and using just a few seconds.

In 1994 started to work professional in night clubs and became the resident warm up DJ, Light Jockey and MASTER OF CERIMONY

From the famous “Rock´s Club” in Vila Nova de Gaia, where he had the chance to work with some of the most relevant names from the dancemusic world scene, but that, it´s just the main genesis.

In 1996 became a free-lancer and the official voice from “Week in a paradise called Portugal” touring for 3 years.

In 1999 started its hown Hip Hop, Electronic Funk & Electro/Breakbeat studio projects and stopped performing on club dancefloors, just making Hip Hop concerts and setting up he´s Indie Label. In September 99 travels to the North of Spain to celebrate the 1st.”HouseCafé” birthday, where he met DJ Ino and since them, they perform and make records together for |House Café Music|(DJ Ino record label)

MC JOHNNY DEF can be described as a low profile artist with a lot of skills and experience, both on stage and night club environments. From a private after-hours in to a huge festival pf 40.000 people.
